Industry Mentoring in STEM

supporting early entrepreneurship and innovation info@asiforum.net

Fantastic new initiative from the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering: Industry Mentoring in STEM (IMNIS).

Why an industry mentoring network in STEM (IMNIS)?

  • Australia is ranked nearly last among OECD nations in collaboration between Industry and Public Researchers.
  • Only 30% of our PhD students go into Industry or Government compared to over 70% in most industrialised countries.
  • Australia must raise its level of Industry-University collaboration.
